Middle bet
Two bets on totals or handicaps with different lines at two books: in one outcome both win; otherwise one wins and the other is refunded or loses.
Example: “over 24.5” at one book and “under 25.5” at another. With exactly 25 rounds, both bets win; with 24 or fewer, or 26 or more, one wins and the other loses. A middle one whole number wide (24.5 and 25.5) gives you a chance of a double win; the wider the middle, the higher that chance, but the worse the odds.
Unlike a surebet, a middle doesn't guarantee a profit. Cross-line total surebets, where the sum of inverse odds is below one even if the result misses the middle, are flagged separately in Dozor: on September 6, 2026, there were 146 of them out of 10,000.
