CS2 Surebets: Where Bookmakers Disagree and What to Check
Map and round handicaps and totals produce more surebets than the match winner. Where CS2 books disagree, which rules break a surebet, how the scanner shows it.
In CS2, surebets most often form on round handicaps and totals, not on the match winner. The reason is the structure of the game: a Bo3 match is made up of maps, a map is made up of rounds, and for each map bookmakers post a dozen numeric lines that move after every round. According to Dozor data for the 24 hours of September 6, 2026, handicaps accounted for 33% of all surebets, totals for 20%, the winner for 25%, and round handicaps for the whole match for another 4%.
CS2 markets where books disagree
| Market | Example line | Why books disagree |
|---|---|---|
| Map winner | Vitality / NaVi | live, after the pistol round and eco rounds |
| Round handicap on a map | −4.5 / +4.5 | many lines, updated at different speeds |
| Total rounds on a map | over / under 24.5 | overlapping lines across books |
| Map handicap | −1.5 / +1.5 in a Bo3 | different assessments of the second and third maps |
| Total maps | over / under 2.5 | depends on how the first map is assessed |
| Match winner | prematch | different assessments of team strength, lineup, format |
Map winner in live is the fastest market: the odds change after every round, and a surebet between a book that has already updated and one that hasn't lasts seconds. Round handicaps and totals move less often, but there are more lines, and books set them independently.
What breaks a CS2 surebet
- Overtime. A map tied at 12:12 goes to overtime. One book counts total rounds including overtime, another counts regulation only. “Over 24.5” at the first and “under 24.5” at the second isn't a surebet, just two different bets.
- Forfeits and replays. If a map isn't finished, books settle it differently: a refund, settlement on the score at the stoppage, or waiting for a replay.
- Match format. Different books sometimes list the same match as a Bo1 and a Bo3 when a tournament changes its format. A “−1.5 maps handicap” line makes no sense in a Bo1, and the book that hasn't pulled it is wrong.
- Lineup change. A stand-in replacing a regular player changes how the match is assessed. A book that has already priced in the change diverges from one that hasn't. That's not a line error but news, and within minutes the second book will catch up.
- Pistol round. The first round of a half moves the map line more than any other. Surebets on the map winner in the first seconds after it are almost always one book's delay.
CS2 limits
For a tier-1 match, limits are comparable to popular sports. For a tier-3 match from an Asian or South American qualifier, a retail bookmaker's limit on an outcome can be tens of times smaller. The stakes worked out in the calculator run into it, and a 3% surebet earns tens of rubles. At the same time, the second tier produces more discrepancies, because books price the teams worse there.
How it looks in Dozor
CS2 handicaps and totals are normalized to one format: the same round handicap is named five different ways at five books, and the scanner merges them into one market, taking the sign of the line into account. The surebet card shows the map, the market, both books, the odds, the age of each price and the stake split. The game filter leaves only CS2, the ROI filter cuts out the small stuff, and a Telegram alert arrives when a surebet appears.
FAQ
Are there CS2 surebets in prematch?
Yes, usually on map handicaps and total maps, where books assess team strength on specific maps differently. They last longer than live surebets but run into limits and rules. All of the scanner's games are on the Esports surebet scanner page.
Why doesn't the scanner show surebets between Fonbet and Pari?
They share one line from one provider: discrepancies between them last fractions of a second and aren't surebets. The term is explained in the glossary.
Which CS2 markets last longest?
Crossed totals and round handicaps in prematch. In live, all the main CS2 markets last about two seconds by median.
