Esports Arbitrage Betting: Where and Why Bookmakers Disagree
Esports beats traditional sports on surebets: algorithms move live lines after each round. Game shares, markets and lifetimes from Dozor's September 6 archive.
Esports produces surebets more often than traditional sports, for three reasons: live lines are moved by an algorithm after every round and kill, books take their odds from different providers and update them differently, and map, round and kill markets are priced by fewer models than the match result. Over the evening of September 6, 2026 (17:21–21:08 UTC), the Dozor scanner found 24,653 surebets across 27 books; the game is known for 14,645 of them: CS2 — 54%, Valorant — 31%, League of Legends — 6.5%, Dota 2 — 5.8%, Rainbow Six — 2.5%.
Why esports produces surebets
- Algorithmic live lines. After every CS2 round or Dota 2 kill, a book's model recalculates the odds. Two books do this with different delays, and for a few seconds a discrepancy opens up between them. According to the archive, the median lifetime of such a surebet is 2.1 seconds — that's the speed difference between two algorithms.
- Different providers. The crypto platforms Duel, BC.Game and Roobet take their line from one vendor, Shuffle and Gamdom from another, Russian bookmakers price in-house, and Polymarket and Kalshi are exchanges where trades move the price. One match is priced by five or six independent models, and they diverge more often than two would. Brands on the same provider don't produce surebets with each other — see the term feed group.
- Exotic markets. Total kills, round handicap, race to ten kills: a trader adjusts these lines by hand, and less often than the algorithm moves the map result. These discrepancies last seven to ten times longer.
Share of surebets by game
| Game | Surebets | Share | Median lifetime | Books with surebets |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CS2 | 7,932 | 54.2% | 2.1 s | 27 |
| Valorant | 4,541 | 31.0% | 2.0 s | 25 |
| League of Legends | 948 | 6.5% | 10.2 s | 27 |
| Dota 2 | 846 | 5.8% | 2.1 s | 21 |
| Rainbow Six | 362 | 2.5% | 41.3 s | 19 |
| Rocket League | 16 | 0.1% | 38.9 s | 3 |
CS2 and Valorant bring volume: they're round-based games with frequent events, there are lots of matches in the evening window, and all or nearly all books price them in live. LoL and Rainbow Six bring time: surebets there last five and twenty times longer, because lines are updated less often and by fewer algorithms. For someone working from alerts, these are two different ways of working: in CS2 the calculation has to be ready before you open the card, while in Rainbow Six you have half a minute to check.
Which markets diverge
| Market | Surebets | Median lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| Handicap (map, match) | 7,974 | 2.0 s |
| Winner | 6,119 | 2.1 s |
| Total | 5,968 | 2.1 s |
| Team total | 2,333 | 2.1 s |
| Result with draw (1X2) | 725 | 2.0 s |
| Total kills | 557 | 14.3 s |
| Match round handicap | 391 | 2.0 s |
| Race to N kills | 282 | 22.6 s |
| Total rounds (match) | 129 | 2.1 s |
Four fifths of surebets are handicaps, totals and map winner: markets with an algorithmic line, where a discrepancy closes within two seconds. The kill markets — total and race — last 14–23 seconds, and they're the only high-volume markets where an ordinary person can keep up without automation. Who diverges from whom
The books with the most surebets in the sample were Olimp (7,527), Duel (5,354), Betcity (4,500), Winline (3,496) and Polymarket (3,226). The most frequent pairs are Duel and Olimp (1,152), Olimp and Polymarket (1,025), and Betcity and Duel (772): in each, one side is a Russian bookmaker with its own line, and the other is a crypto platform or exchange whose price comes from elsewhere. Pairs of two Russian bookmakers produce noticeably fewer, because their models are similar. Surebets involving Polymarket last twice as long (a median of 4.0 seconds): exchange prices are moved by trades, not an algorithm. Live tables for every book and pair are in the Bookmakers and Pairs sections, and by platform on the Prediction markets page.
What breaks an esports surebet
- Settlement rules. Overtime in total rounds, forfeits, map numbering when a match is rescheduled, what counts as first blood. The same market name at two books doesn't mean the same rules, and a surebet on paper turns into two ordinary bets.
- Limits. Limits on second-division matches are several times lower than on finals, and account limiting comes faster — more on that in the article “Why Bookmakers Limit Arbitrage Bettors and What to Do”.
- Price age. With a median lifetime of two seconds, a surebet with a leg the book hasn't updated for ten seconds has most likely already closed. Dozor shows the age of every price in the card.
Where to start
Don't start with CS2 in live; start with markets where you have time: kill totals, LoL and Rainbow Six, and prematch on map handicaps. Stake calculations are in the calculator, terms are in the glossary. An overview of the scanner's games and markets is on the Esports surebet scanner page.
FAQ
Which game produces the most surebets?
CS2: more than half of the surebets in the sample, because it has the most matches, all 27 books price it in live, and a round is played every two minutes. On lifetime, Rainbow Six and LoL lead.
Why are there more surebets in esports than in football?
In football, hundreds of books price a top match with similar models and high limits, and arbitrage bettors' stakes quickly even out any discrepancies. In esports there are fewer models, map and round markets are priced differently, and an algorithm moves the live line after every event. Dozor can't compare the two directly, since it doesn't scan traditional sports, but a density of 24,653 surebets in one evening speaks for itself.
Do you need a dedicated scanner for esports?
If your accounts are at Russian bookmakers, crypto platforms and exchanges, and your markets are maps, rounds and kills, then yes: an all-sport scanner treats esports as one sport among dozens. There's a comparison in the article “Esports Surebet Scanners: FORKSCAN, GG Cyber, Dozor”.
Do Fonbet and Pari produce surebets with each other?
No: they share one line, so discrepancies between them last fractions of a second and don't count as surebets. The same goes for Duel, BC.Game, Roobet, CSGOEmpire and Reels.
